Hello, my name is Byron Orantes. I am an Exercise Science majoring student who is striving to become an Occupational Therapist. Throughout the majority of my life, I grew up an overweight child, after losing roughly 45 pounds I gained an interest in and passion for health. Due to starting my health journey and having an older sister who was also studying to become an Occupational therapist, I enrolled in Montgomery college to start my journey. As for my background, I am the youngest of 3. Both my mother and father are from Guatemala and immigrated to the United States when they were teenagers. So far, I have traveled to Guatemala twice, but I plan on going again sometime soon as I enjoy experiencing the culture, views, and time spent with family there.
